I swear, my kids like the grossest things. Again, I wasn't going to post what we had for dinner because...well, because I'm almost ashamed of what I feed my kids sometimes. LOL My husband is working late, so I don't have the motivation to cook a great meal. Plus, he's been working so late that I haven't gotten a chance to go to the semi local health food store, which is where I do the majority of my food shopping...because who really wants to take six kids shopping?
So, anyways, tonight's dinner...in all it's glory:
Mac and Cheese, Pasta and Peas
Two regular sized boxes Annie's Organic Mac and Cheese
1 bag organic spinach pasta noodles
1 cube organic butter
1 package organic ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup organic lowfat milk
1 med bag organic (do I really need to keep writing organic? I don't put organic in any of my other ingredient lists, when in reality, I use about 99% organic ingredients in everything I cook...but I guess I need to at least let you know that I'm feeding my kids organic crap, not just crap lol) peas
Boil the pasta in water for 8 minutes.
Drain the pasta, return it to the pan.
Add the cheese mix from the mac and cheese box, milk, butter, ranch dressing mix and peas.
Stir constantly while heating over medium low heat until everything is mixed together, butter is melted and peas are warmed through.
I told you it was a terrible meal. I tried to make myself feel better by adding the peas. LOL The spinach pasta was added in because I didn't have enough boxes of mac and cheese to feed the family. The ranch dressing mix was added in because I was afraid it would be too bland with extra pasta, but no extra cheese. All in all, it as actually pretty good. The kids loved it! lol
(He REALLY doesn't like peas!)
